Guatemala Pastors Retreat

January 6-14, 2025

Since 2015 Crossroads Church has been in partnership with other pastors, leaders and churches to help support and breathe life into local Guatemalan pastors and their churches. The primary function of this annual trip is to host a Pastors Retreat for those pastoring in remote, impoverished villages. Many of these pastors have left good jobs, modern city conveniences, friends and family to follow God's call into the mountain villages. The work is hard and the conditions are difficult. We go every year so that these pastors know they are not alone. We go to bring refreshment, hope and life so they are empowered to continue in the calling they have received!

Guatemala Missions Trip

It’s happening! Finally happening!

I am excited to share an opportunity coming. My church, Crossroads Church, has been giving to missions throughout the world for many years. One specific place is Jalapa, Guatemala. I will be going with the mission group this year!

The goal of this trip is to encourage local pastors and missionaries ministering to those in the

remote villages. Our primary project will be hosting a retreat for the pastors in the area. These pastors are very isolated and work incredibly hard in difficult settings. Our heart is to help in whatever way we can to support their needs through prayer, walks through villages, visiting and encouraging them, physical labor projects, and more. We want the pastors and wives to feel refreshed and revived to continue in the work God has called them to.

Our church began this mission in 2015 through the RMI Ministry. We have gone annually since and even grown into sending our youth group to spend time with children and families in one of the villages building a playground, school, and community center. Kieth and I have even been blessed in supporting one of the pastors there for about 9 years now.  I have wanted to join in this mission since the beginning, but work always seemed to be a hurdle, or so I thought.

This year I can go!!! The dates are not blacked out and I’m leaping on this opportunity to share God’s love with others. We will fly into Guatemala City on January 6-14, 2025. The team will spend a couple days there at the beginning and end of the trip. However, most of the trip we will be in Jalapa, the mountainous area a few hours east of Guatemala City.

The trip will cost $1,500-$1,800 covering flights, lodging, and most meals. If God places this on your heart to give, I could definitely  use your support to fund this mission. Thank you!
