My grandmother Aretha Smoot in Chicago just recently passed away 5/21/2020 from too much fluid in her heart and kidneys. My grandmother kidneys were failing. She got put on dialysis. She was in the hospital since May 9. I wasn’t aware she was in the hospital for so long. She has 3 kids and they are all taking it pretty rough. They plan on leaving from Nebraska to Chicago on Sunday. While in Chicago they plan to make all arrangements for the funeral in Sikeston, Missouri and a special ceremony in Chicago. We aren’t sure how we will get their with both of us working at the Madonna hospital but hopefully we can go to the funeral in Missouri. It’s still a shock to me but pray for my family and the future traveling to Chicago and Missouri. My grandmother raised me and my siblings up in Good New Community Baptist Church in Chicago. She attended there for 45 years and was there for all 3 pastor. The current Pastor Kelli was comforting her for the last moment of her life. Pastor Kelli told me that Sister Smoot was Good New Community Baptist Church.

Pray for continued healing on my back, my car to keep running until a different one is found, and new opportunities to share God's love to my family and coworkers.

Please pray for my sister & her husband. She had a baby two weeks ago and he died at two days old. Please pray for God's comfort and peace during the weeks and months to come.
